DEVI CHANDRAGHANTA
On day 03 of the Navratri Celebrations, be it Chaitra (Spring) or Shardiya (Autumn) Devi Chandraghanta is worshipped. And her energies invoked.
The third form of the Feminine Divine is Devi Chandraghanta. As she descends from the celestial skies to bless all on Planet Earth we gather in devotion. Let us connect to her!
“The Goddess who is astride a tiger, adorned with weapons in 8 of her 10 hands, she brings with her peace – not war, as she is guided by the bell like crescent moon – protecting and creating, not punishing and destroying. Her three eyes – see all, bless all, and protect all.”
– Renooji
During this time of Navratri Celebrations, Renooji (RenooNirula), has enabled us with immense knowledge. Each meditation and discourse empowers us with mantras to connect to, understand, and invoke the energies of Devi. It is a Journey that the Guru Invites You to take with Surrender and Devotion. (Below are extracts from Renooji’s lectures on Devi, Shakti, Durga and her many forms to empower you further)
Devi Chandraghanta & The 3rd Night Of Worship
‘As the 9 Nights of Worshipping and Glorifying the Feminine Divine reach its third night, the Third Form of the 9 Devi-s – Devi Chandraghants descends. Let us establish a permanent connection to the Devi through mantra and meditation in our daily spiritual practice. How? By approaching Her with love in our hearts. We begin by celebrating Her arrival, with the chant, the mantra :
II SARVA-MANGAL MAANGAL-YE, SHIVEY SARVAARATH-SAADHIKEY SHARANN-YE TRAYAMBIKEY, GAURI NAARAAYANI-NAMO-STUTEY II
It is is through Mantra that the devotee is able to access the Devi and her manifestations. This is turn takes the devotee into a deep meditative connection with the Mother Divine.
Always remember that the 9 Devi-s, or Durga-s are the key -expansions of the Feminine Divine. In Hindu Folklore – our Myths, Legends and Vedic Hymns they describe Her as Warrior, Mother, Progenitor, Protector, and Keeper of ALL CREATION. Hence, at this time of the Navratri, when Her energies are the most opulent we glorify them. Beseeching each form to bestow upon us with specific blessings and boons. However, the most complete way to access these divine gifts is through Gratitude and Surrender. Combining your devotion with the sanctified processes you are initiated in. Yes, the mysticism is all around us. But do not be distracted by it. Stay centered in your bhakti. The attraction to her mysticism is also part of her illusion. Saty focussed in your spiritual practice. And affirm that you have unlimited and unbound access to her true form, daily and forever.

Accessing & Connecting With Devi Chandraghanta During Navratri
Many refer to and approach the Mother Goddess in her energy form – as SHAKTI! As all that is movement, kinetic and frenetic in this world and the next. She is the Masculine Divine in motion – she is that combustible nuclear energy ACTIVATED! That is what Shakti is. And to know her, touch her, taste her and see her, we must first begin by inviting her.
‘The worship of Devi Chandraghanta on the 3rd night of the Holy Navratri is here. As her glory reaches its fullest form, her body radiates with a golden-hue. Eight of HER hands display weapons. The remaining two are respectively in the mudras that are symbollic of boon-giving and warding-off harm. Chandra + Ghanta, in sanskrit literally means ‘giver of supreme bliss, knowledge and the one who is showering peace and serenity on all. Just like the cool breeze on a moonlit night.’
Devi Chandraghanta is often referred to as Chandika, Chandrakhanda, or Rannchandi. Worshipped in this form in Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu), India. Her energies are an expansion of the red realms. And at this frequency, her energies arrive within each living being through the filtered pink lightning, spinal-like columns of light. These columns are activating strength for all Humans and their activities. How? By unlocking auspicious karmic patterns housed in their root chakras.’
