“The story of the tree”

“An old man was digging a hole with a scrapper. Due to extreme hot weather , his body was drenched with sweat but his face was glowing with a force of light, where doing his duty was fulfilling him with contentment. Reaching near him and getting down from his horse , the king said” Oh, old man , you are putting so much labour to plant this mango tree in your old age, do you think you will survive till this plant will grow enough to give fruit and you will taste it?” The old man stood up with folded hands …” Sire, other people who planted trees, which are grown up now, I am enjoying their fruit. Then is it not my duty to plant the tree so that coming generations will enjoy the sweet fruits?Apart from this there are mentions in the scriptures that a human being should do selfless service “. The king was overwhelmed and bowed down to the duty filled old man. I am sharing this story with all of you today as in my vision this morning I saw that everyone of you have a golden tree in your hearts. Plant a golden tree in someone else’s heart by appreciating this someone special and compassion awakened in your heart will flow like a river to irrigate the trees.
